22" Balanced Babe
Braiding & loc hair, so light you forget it's there

Is it light?
39 of our 164 reviews mention how light it is
Super light.
CarolineSurprisingly not heavy.
MelExtremely lightweight.
Natasha
No chemical coating, so nothing sits on the strand adding weight. Open the pack and braid.
Why does it cost more?
$1.60 a day, across the eight weeks you wear it
Put that next to what you paid your braider, and next to the hours you sat in that chair. The hair is the smallest number in the whole day. It is also the only one that decides whether you make it to week eight or take the whole thing out in week two.
Cheap hair is not cheap if you cannot keep it in.
What if the shade is wrong?
30 days to change your mind, and Aunty covers the return
Colour is the part people worry about, and fairly. A photo on a screen is never the same as hair in your hand. If you are stuck between two shades, message before you order and you will get real photos of both on real heads, not colour swatches.
If it turns up and it is not the one, that is on us, not you.

Not this fibre for passion twists, butterfly locs or crochet styles. Those want a water wave hair, and it is on the shelf here: crochet and loc hair.

FAQs
Will it itch?
No — it's the thing customers mention most. Cheap braiding hair is coated in chemicals and cut with rough, impure fibres — that's what causes the itch. Ours is pure, high-grade fibre with no coating: nothing to wash off, nothing harsh on your scalp. Made for sensitive scalps.
How many packs for a full head?
Six packs covers a full head. Eight if you want it extra thick.
Most people use less than six. It depends on your braider, some use more hair per braid than others.
That is why we say six. You will not run out halfway, and anything left over is your exact shade sitting there for next time.
Is it pre-stretched? Do I need to wash it first?
Yes, pre-stretched — ready straight from the pack. No separating, no cutting, and no pre-wash needed (there's no chemical coating to rinse off). 80g per pack. Hot water sets your curls beautifully.
Can I use it for locs or dreadlocks?
Yes — widely used by the loc community across Australia.
How long will it last?
With proper care, 6–8 weeks for most styles.
Can I mix colours?
That's the entire point. Single-bundle packs make it easy to mix shades and build something completely your own.
